This policy explains how Buzio collects, uses and protects your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

As Buzio is a personal project, the data controller is the individual who publishes the site (see legal notice). For any question: contact@buzio.app.

2. Data we collect

  • Presenter account: name, email, password (encrypted), and your Google account details if you use OAuth sign-in.
  • Created content: quizzes, questions, media and session settings.
  • Players: chosen nickname and game data (scores, answers). No sign-up is required to play.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, connection logs, for security and reliability.
  • Analytics: usage data collected via Google Analytics (see Cookies).

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Provide and manage the live quiz service — performance of the contract.
  • Secure the platform and prevent abuse — legitimate interest.
  • Measure audience and improve the service — legitimate interest / consent.
  • Comply with legal obligations — legal obligation.

4. Retention

Account data is kept while the account is active, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after closure. Game session data is anonymised within 12 months.

5. Data sharing

Your data is never sold. It may be processed by our technical sub-processors (hosting, analytics) acting on our behalf with GDPR-compliant safeguards.

6. Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation (authentication, preferences) as well as analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. You can configure your browser to block non-essential cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object. To exercise them, email contact@buzio.app. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures (password encryption, restricted access, HTTPS) to protect your data.
